Spectra-Nova's SS Series Solar Simulators (Module Testers) are designed to be used in production or development environment for solar photovoltaic modules. Our product solutions combine ease of use with cost-effectiveness as well as minimizing operator intervention:

The Technology:
SS Series Solar Simulators Class A (research) and Class B (production) are  based  on the state-of-the-art solar simulation technology (IEC 60904-9 classification) using reliable single or multiple Xenon light pulses.
AM1.5 (Air Mass 1.5) irradiation is the standard to which our equipment is calibrated. Other Air Masses can be simulated, upon request.

The Test Equipment:

• four-probe contacting technique
  
• non-contact temperature detector
  
• reliable and precise electronic load
  
• high quality data acquisition equipment and electronic components ensure the precision, reliability and stability of the measurements.
  

• full I-V curve at a selected irradiation in the range 700-1200 Wm-2 (research)
  
• a family of three I-V curves at 200, 700, 1000 Wm-2  fixed irradiations (production)
  
• optional measurement at different temperatures
  
• optional amplifying attachment for single cell test (low voltage/low current range)
  
• provisions for correct thin film modules testing
  

• the  high performance software allows research and/or production testing.
  
• a statistics package is a standard feature for production mode.
  
• on-screen help greatly simplifies the operation of the machine.
